Project Animal Farm: An Accidental Journey

Ivy League graduate and former Wall Street investment banker, Sonia Faruqi leaves the business world in the 2008 shake-out.  Then, in an effort to do something totally different ends up at the door of an organic dairy farm.  What happened next would change her life and vault her into the spotlight of food issues for the next generation.

Her adventure takes her on a journey around the world.  A remarkable experience that is chronicled in the new book PROJECT ANIMAL FARM: An Accidental Journey Into the Secret World of Farming and The Truth About Our Food.

From dairy farms in Canada to chicken farms in Indonesia to factory farms in Malaysia, she was not only witness to so much but she turns her business mind loose on what she’s seen.

Then she comes up with a cost efficient alternative way to farm while also perhaps being more humane to millions of creatures.

At the end of the show Angela Daun fills us in on her project.  She is starting a new television show.  The show takes a look around the world at the state of animals (endangered and others).

Angela has a Kickstarter campaign going which you can join by going to Kickstarter and entering the name ANIMAL EMPIRE.
