He’s won an Academy Award for his documentary, THE COVE, and now Louis Psihoyos has a new film that is both breathtaking and powerful.
RACING EXTINCTION is about the coming mass extinction unfolding across the planet, during which at least half the species on earth will vanish.
The film deals with examples of the of the Anthropocene extinction, in other words, the effects of the unbridled appetites of human beings(literal and figurative) causing the greatest mass extinction since the KT event, 66 million years ago.
And despite the bleak realities, the film is hopeful, exciting, beautifully photographed and empowering.
The movie takes you undercover to Asia to witness the demand for endangered animal parts in exotic elixirs and culinary preparations and goes from there…
